Trial and getting started

Does GarageWise offer a free trial?

Yes. You get 30 days with full access to every feature, and you do not need a credit card to start. If GarageWise is not for you, do nothing and the trial simply ends.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No. We ask for your name, your garage and an email address. Nothing else. You only enter card details if you decide to subscribe at the end of the 30 days.

How long does it take to get set up?

You can sign up and book your first job the same day. GarageWise runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install and no engineer visit to arrange. Add your workshop details, look up a registration and you are working.

Do I need to install any software?

No. GarageWise is cloud based and works in any modern browser on a PC, Mac, laptop or tablet. Your data is available from the office, the ramp or your phone, and it is backed up for you.

What happens when my trial ends?

We will ask you to choose the monthly or annual plan. If you do not subscribe, your account is paused rather than deleted, so nothing is lost if you come back to us later.

Pricing and billing

How much does GarageWise cost?

GarageWise is £69.99 per month + VAT, or £699.99 per year + VAT. There is one plan and it includes everything: garage management, HaynesPro technical data and a two user licence.

What is the difference between monthly and annual?

The features are identical. Annual works out around two months cheaper over the year, saving you about £140. Monthly gives you the flexibility to stop whenever you like.

Is VAT included in the price?

No. VAT is added to the price shown and is calculated at checkout.

Are there any setup or onboarding fees?

None. You pay the subscription and nothing else. No setup fee, no implementation fee, no charge for data migration help.

How many users do I get?

The price includes a two user licence, so you and a colleague can both be logged in and working at the same time. If you need more seats, get in touch and we will sort it out.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Cancel whenever you like and your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.

How do I pay?

By credit or debit card. Payments are handled securely by Stripe and we never see or store your card details.

Will new features cost extra?

We add features constantly and the great majority land in your subscription at no extra cost. Some larger additions may be offered as an optional paid add-on, but we will never quietly move something you already use behind a paywall.

Technical data

Is technical data included in the price?

Yes. HaynesPro technical data is built in at no extra cost. Most garage management systems charge separately for a data subscription such as Autodata, which can cost as much as the software itself.

What technical data do I get?

Wiring diagrams, torque settings, OEM service schedules, lubricants and fluid capacities, repair times, technical drawings, fuse and relay locations, component locations, and VESA guided fault diagnosis.

Which vehicles are covered?

Cars and light commercial vehicles sold in the UK and Europe, looked up by registration or VIN so you get the technical data for that exact model and engine. Motorcycles, HGVs, buses, coaches and agricultural or plant machinery are not covered.

Do I still need a separate Autodata subscription?

No. HaynesPro data covers the same ground and is included in your GarageWise subscription. For most garages that alone pays for the software.

Can I see MOT history and tax status?

Yes. Enter a registration and you get MOT status and full MOT history, tax status and any outstanding manufacturer recalls, alongside the technical data.

Switching and data migration

Can I import my existing customer and vehicle data?

Yes. Our team is on hand to help get you migrated, so you are not left to retype your customer and vehicle records yourself. Tell us what you are coming from and we will take it from there.

I am tied into another system until my contract ends. Can you help?

Tell us which system you are on and when your renewal falls, and we will get back in touch closer to the time so you do not miss the window to switch. There is no obligation and no pressure.

How does GarageWise compare with TechMan or Garage Hive?

GarageWise is a flat £69.99 a month with technical data included, no setup fee and no contract. TechMan and Garage Hive are typically quote-based, charge separately for technical data, and involve an onboarding process. We have written honest side by side comparisons of both, including where they might suit you better.

What happens to my data if I leave?

It is your data. You can export your customer and vehicle records, and we will help you get everything out.

Support

What support do I get?

Email support from people who understand how a workshop actually runs, plus a helpdesk full of step by step guides. You can also raise a ticket from inside GarageWise. Support is included, not an upsell.

What are your support hours?

You can email us at any time and we aim to reply within one working day.

Security, data and contracts

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit, hosted on UK and EU infrastructure, and backed up automatically. We are GDPR compliant.

Who owns the data in my account?

You do. Your customers, vehicles, jobs and invoices are yours, and you can take them with you.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. There is no minimum term. Pay monthly and stop when you want, or pay annually to save money if you are happy to commit for the year.
